The M-form (migration tax return form) will not be available to migrants from 1 March this year, but two months later.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extension Options<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If needed, an extension can be requested either personally or through a tax adviser.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requesting an Extension Yourself<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Until 1 May 2026 via <em>Mijn Belastingdienst<\/em> (online tax portal of the Belastingdienst)<\/li>\n<li>Until 1 July 2026 via the Tax Information Line (<em>BelastingTelefoon<\/em>) or in writing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In both cases, the extension will be granted until 1 November 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extension via a Tax Adviser<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the so-called \u201cbecon extension scheme\u201d for tax advisers, an extension can be requested until 1 May 2027.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Response from the Dutch Tax Authorities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Within three months after filing the return, the taxpayer will receive a notice from the Belastingdienst.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2025 Income Tax Return for Migrants Available from 1 May 2026 Taxpayers who emigrated from or immigrated to the Netherlands in 2025 can file their 2025 personal income tax return between 1 May and 1 July 2026.
